Charging at the station

With the new DB charging station, you can now charge your electric car at the station with renewable power. Together with DB BahnPark and DB Energie GmbH, Smart City | DB is improving the car charging infrastructure at railway stations and investing in future-oriented mobility. To this end, car charging points are being installed at many railway stations in Germany.

Since [date], there have been nine charging points at Berlin Südkreuz station and ten charging points at Plochingen station. The installation of further charging points at DB railway stations is also planned for 2025.

Whether you are commuting to work by train or shopping at the station while charging ─ with the new DB charging stations, you can make good use of your charging time. Depending on the location, both slow and fast charging points are available.

Electric vehicles can be charged with an output of 50 kW at the DC charging points. Perfect if you want to run a few errands at the shopping centre. AC charging points with 11 kW are suitable for those who have a little more time, such as commuters who want to charge their car at the station during the working day. You can find an overview of the charging points here (https://dbenergie.smatrics.com...)

Payment is made either with an EnBW charging card or on site using a QR code. Simply scan the QR code on the charging station, select the correct charging point and enter your credit card as the payment method.
