Flexible onward travel directly at the station
At the Mobility Hub, travelers and commuters will find all locally available sharing offers bundled at a location close to the station and can easily switch from local and long-distance transport to e-scooters and the like.
Our national network of sharing providers currently includes the bike sharing providers Call a Bike (including RegioRad Stuttgart and StadtRAD Hamburg), Nextbike, mein Rad der Mainzer Mobilität and Donkey Bike and the cargo bike providers Cargoroo and Green Moves as well as the e-scooter providers Voi, Tier, Bolt, Lime, Zeus, Roxy and Moin. The same applies to the e-moped providers Stella, Emmy, Energieversorgung Oberhausen and Süwag Go as well as carsharing providers Flinkster, Stadtmobil (both station-based carsharing) and Miles (free-float carsharing). Depending on the region, these sharing services can be booked directly at the Mobility Hub.
Commuters with their own car also have the option of reserving a parking space directly at the train stations in Böblingen, Leinfelden, Ehningen, Plochingen, Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Herrenberg, Kirchheim (Teck) and Berin Südkreuz online in advance (https://www.bahnhof.de/en/serv...).
Commuters with a bicycle can also spontaneously reserve a secure bicycle parking space in a digital bicycle box at Stuttgart-Vaihingen station. Unlike other boxes, you don't need a key here. Instead, the box can be reserved online by the hour or day and opened and closed on site using a smartphone (https://reservierung.mein-cont...).
With this new offer, we are not only ensuring more flexible onward travel, but also a better overview of sharing offers and order at the station.
Digitally connected: public transport and sharing services
Flexible mobility - accessible to all
Mobility Hub users can use our partner network (Mobility Stuttgart, Jelbi) to display multimodal routes, view the availability of sharing vehicles from a single source and, in some cases, book them directly within the apps. The apps recommend the fastest route by bus and train, for example, and also suggest alternatives or combinations with sharing offers. The route is optimally planned thanks to the cross-provider bundling and simplifies the use of the various services.
The Curbside Cockpit (https://www.deutschebahnconnec...) developed by DB Connect is used to facilitate the organised parking of e-scooters, rental bikes and e-mopeds at the station. With the help of the tool, vehicles parked outside the designated parking zones can be recognised via their GPS data and the providers informed. DB BahnPark (a joint venture between the public service infrastructure company DB InfraGO AG and Contipark) and DB Services ensure regulated on-site parking operations within the innovation project.
